Indoor Football Field Facility, NC
McCreary Field House located in Winston-Salem, NC, houses a 120-yard football field and weightlifting room for Wake Forest University football team. The Field House is 80,000 square feet and is heated and cooled with two Powrmatic TE-41HC air-turnover units.

McCreary Field house was the first phase of a 58-million-dollar project to benefit all 18 Wake Forest athletic programs. Powrmatic was brought on to engineer a cost-effective solution that provides an environment for teams to train year-round in all weather conditions.
Two TE-41HC units were custom engineered to deliver 100 tons of cooling and 2 million BTUs of gas per unit. Each unit was indoor mounted in mechanical rooms and enclosed keeping the 120-yard football field free of any obstructions.
By decreasing the number of units needed to heat and cool the facility Powrmatic has saved Wake Forest extensive operational costs. The two TE-41HC units also required no duct work, lowered maintenance cost, construction cost, and all-over operational costs throughout the building compared to conventional units.
