Indoor Football Practice Facility, NC
Close-King Indoor Practice Facility located in Raleigh, NC, houses a 120-yard multi-purpose field used by the NC State Wolfpack athletics program. The practice facility is 85,000 square feet and is heated with two Powrmatic TE-41 air-turnover units.

The 14-million-dollar facility was built with an arched rooftop sufficient for punts and suspended goal posts. The roof was designed in such a way to not only be capable of high punts but to minimize the heat island effect. Powrmatic was brought on to create custom-built units that will enhance the heating and ventilation in the facility.
Two TE-41 units, 28 feet tall, are indoor mounted and enclosed in mechanical rooms. These units are powered by 1,250 CFH, natural gas and are set up for future cooling.
Powrmatic has created a cost-effective solution for North Carolina State University. Both units are equipped with propeller fans that run at a lower horsepower while still maintaining even temperatures throughout the facility.
